First of all, I would like to say my thanks for the **[Skatehive Community](https://skatehive.app/)** for the opportunity to review the game that they are developing for Hive and winning this cool NFT artwork out of the 40+ contest participants. I would also like to congratulate the rest of the winners for their amazing reviews, in particular @libertycrypto27 for making the 1^st place winner with his amazing [review](https://ecency.com/hive-173115/@libertycrypto27/review-of-quest-for-stoken). ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/23tGXZnp4QSjfLLjzLppxrQfWDK1PkoejdXyamwT497KssyfAL3fUu4PbWKsMCb3rknTd.png) As a refresher, **[Quest for Stoken](https://stoken.quest/)** is a 2D game where the character you play is a skateboarder wielding sword to fight the enemies the he came across, similar to games like Super Mario or Kontra but this game was planned to have play to earn aspects in the future. In my **[review](https://peakd.com/hive-173115/@saydie/quest-for-stoken-the-ques)**, I have discussed about the game controls and gameplay for the stages that I have reached during my first time playing it. I also some recommendations to made the game more fun such as adding **Speed Runs** for game achievements to make it more competitive because when you look at games like Mario, there are lots of people that would spend hundreds of hours just to beat the game at the shortest time possible. What more if there is a rewarding system behind it? So for this post, I would have the follow- up for the rest of the stages that I haven't reached when I first my review, finally beating the game. https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/23t7FFgqyCZSmCKQV84W3rmyxyAQnthyHqfPhUzZ2VtSFv7wdx8eu1qE186ZbyQKp1J5h.png On my previous post, I have managed to reach up to stage 4 but got the difficulty finishing it until all my lives runs out. This was mainly because I did not realized early that has two **Shift** key and I'm doing all the controls with my left hand, making the game difficult for me. But that does not mean that the rest of the game where easy. **Stage 5 and 6** ![a.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/23tvCw9ARuYCs8bNCtK6gF6bQ4pV558EgxtGnUJ7jRdiFM8zwD3BrZD1s16zgBxo27P3e.png) The stage 5 has the same Aliens and UFO's as the opponents. The Aliens shoot electric beams which is quite a range attack so you need to time when you attack them but they do not follow you. As for the UFO's, once they noticed you, they will follow you to the ends of the world if you do not defeat them. What I do to finish them is to lure them on tight places where they cannot move well then with 3 slash from my sword, they will be gone. There were also this mini UFO's that will appear out of nowhere but all you need to do is to dodge them. ![b.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/23tbPQKECpAqPzL4cHrLfZo1cLemnKcLNDaNYa8KoLzwS8nyaFF3KuZ4tt64nWtc9QhxL.png) The stage 6 was like a continuation of stage 5, having the same environment but with different layout. Of course, the enemies remains the same so the same strategy will work on this stage. **Stage 7** ![c.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/23tGbvFARhuTuT76bSifMudphHp3h3ukspAcvJBEABvnY2DBVi7bMKg5D9CP5aRmksoQv.png) On stage 7, you will see this **Astronaut** that you will reach when you climb the stairs which is designed to be like Pyramid. At first, I thought that finally, I have made and ally as I was on my quest to defeat the aliens but turns out that he was a traitor to the human race and have sided with the aliens. I have tried to defeat him but his flag have longer reach than me so I decided to just get the tokens and leave this stage but before I scape, there were his Alien comrades that has come to stop me but compared to the Astronaut, they were much easier to handle so I was able to scape this stage with much ease. **Stage 8 and 9** ![d.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/EoCgA83PcV34Nzt2ndMzRSyfKUHsM3XMYMojKcwNcLsC6sFErPwgYGdoAGUfgceYtdU.png) For this stage, I have the Ape-like creature, the birds from the earlier stage and some sort of mutated bee as my new opponent. The Ape-like creature does not follow but has a long reach to attack so I need to time my attack after theirs to make a counter and after 2 hits, they are gone. As for the birds, they follow you but can easily be taken with one hit. The problem lies with the bees that also follows you but took 3 hits to defeat. So what I did was the same strategy with the UFO and lure them to tight places. The stage also becomes more difficult because there are spikes on the road by which if you cross them, would defeat you right away so be aware of them. The dart- like thing from stage 2 also re-appears on this stage so also be aware of them. ![e.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/23tkmzKktmUMehDA13wE8uueaaGdn1Rj2LipRSCrQ2xhTWe1XYu3k9ekPrqqyfHjj7YmM.png) As for the stage 9, they have the same opponents on stage 8 so the same strategy will apply for this stage but there were many spikes and darts on this stage that causes me many game overs. On my first attempt to finish the game, I also reached into a portal that will get you back to stage 6. I just don't remember which is it from stage 8 or 9 since I was focused on beating the game but if you want to collect as much tokens for score and health, then you can do it on a loop, going between the stages. **Stage 10** Stage 10 was the last stage for the game. You only have the Ape-like creature and the Mutated Bee for the opponent but there's a catch. They appeared out of nowhere. As you travel this stage, the opponents just pops up when you are on their range so you need to be careful. there are also many spikes and Dart-like objects on the way. To finish the stage, you need to find the wallet and activate it which will also open the door to finish the game. Once you enter the hive, it will show you with your final score. I have a total score of 6406 for this run. Now that I have finished the game, I feel like it has become shorter than what I thought it is but since it was still on the early phase of development, the developers can just add more stages before the game launches and add even more stages after the game launches. I also find the hidden portals the need for activating wallet to open doors additional way to make the game more fun as there were secrets in the game that a player can find if they explore every place with the stage. This time I finished the game, without beating any of the Bosses but the next time I play, I would try to beat them and share my strategy.
