1. Introduction
1Ramp is a social media platform for creative communities powered by Steem blockchain. On 1Ramp, you can join communities (art, photography, travel, literature) of your interest and share your creative work. 1Ramp provides you with a user-friendly experience for writing blogs and sharing photos right from your mobile phone.
In this blog post, I will be discussing some recent features that we released for the Android application.
2. What’s new on 1Ramp
The Steem wallet is now available on the 1Ramp app. Using the app, users will be able to
- claim rewards
- transfer Steem and Steem Dollars (SBD) to other Steem users
- power up/down
These features are essential for the complete Steem blockchain experience on a mobile phone.
Users can also see their transaction history in the app’s wallet section.
2.1. Claim Rewards
Claim reward button would now be available in the wallet section of the app. We are using steemconnect4j for claiming rewards -
2.2. Transfer STEEM or SBD
From the wallet section, users can send STEEM and SBD to other users. For secure transfer, we collect transfer meta-data from the user, validate it and then redirect to SteemConnect webpage for re-authentication followed by a successful transfer.
2.3. Power Up and Power Down
Users can now transfer STEEM to his vesting share or can withdraw vesting share. Again, users are redirected to SteemConnect re-authentication for these operations.
Along with these wallet operations, we have made a lot of bug fixes and performance improvements for loading feeds/posts faster.
