That's good, you get better, you evolve, you become better. But there are certain changes, perhaps driven by certain people, with certain power or perhaps the change is in general but brings negative consequences for each of the human beings and for the rest. This topic that @galenkp brought us this week, caught my attention, because today we live in a very different society than when for example I was a child. Many things have changed in the world society, many things indeed. But there are some things that I wish had not changed. The first of these is ***the lack of tolerance and the loss of respect*** that we see nowadays. People for various reasons are less understanding of each other, and everyone has their own learning and maturing times. Couples do not tolerate each other, there is no patience and they end up separated, to give an example. Respect has been lost, for beliefs, for thinking differently, for acting or choosing different paths. Everyone has to do the same, according to social standards, and this is not or should not be the case. Everyone should have the right, without being judged, to make this or that decision, especially if it concerns only that person and does not harm anyone else. However, "different" people are looked down upon, disrespected or not tolerated. >Who says what is different? Who... There is a lot of finger-pointing, accusations, mockery, a lot of lack of understanding. And today this is much more noticeable, it is exacerbated, on a large scale. There is no harmony, people are irritable and do not consider that we are all different, with our times, our different personalities and ways of thinking. ![20230203_150558.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/avdesing/23vsLEp7YdRgn3t8xqkBSaZ5QFxP9PGpxgfvovt8QPi8y52vDXCe94NY4cbMeVBdrznNb.jpg) The second thing that has changed in our society, in my opinion, not in all people, but in many, is the ***loss of a critical sense, thinking for oneself, questioning things*** and not blindly believing every news item or topic that is exposed for example in the media. The media has become a mind trap, and I see people endlessly repeating what the media says, without questioning, without asking questions, as if they were zombies. >And I have discovered many lies in the media, too many. Even things have been said that are out of all logic and rationality. However, I hear family and friends repeating such news as true, without thinking, if they did they would see that there is no truth or logic whatsoever. It is a collective thinking, mass thinking, as if everyone was walking in the same direction without looking at the sides, without looking at other options, without seeing that there are nuances and colours. It is not even necessary to have scientific or highly qualified knowledge to reason certain questions... the majority simply does not question, does not think. >What happened to human beings? We are part of nature, and nature is part of us, and this lack of love for ourselves has repercussions for us and for others. The disasters and aberrations committed against nature, forests, seas, jungles, is atrocious. Nature lives and reacts and will continue to react in response. >Action and reaction, cause and effect. Such is the law of life. And the worst thing of all is that because of this numbness of the population, the great and the superior are allowed to do sad things against nature and against ourselves. Freedom has been taken away from nature as much as from us, but the answer is only silence. I often feel like a madwoman for going against the current. But I am awake and it is important that others are too. Love is the most powerful force, where is the love in our lives? Do we stop to look at a flower, the tear of a human being, the cry of a child for lack of food, the dry leaves in autumn? Do we know how to listen to the trill of a bird at dawn, the roaring waves of the sea, a plea for understanding, do we know how to listen? Has that connection to the whole been lost, I wonder if it ever was, I want to believe it was. If we love each other, if we really love each other it expands like an incredible force and spreads to others and to the earth that shelters us.
