The ‘Chicha’ is a very tasty thick drink, it is usually made by hand, there are also many variants, today I share the one I like the most, I make it with spaghetti and cloves, you can substitute the cloves for cinnamon, I like the combination of these two spices, it is also delicious adding caramelised milk to the mixture, actually there are many ways to make this delicious drink.

INGREDIENTS - Two litres of water at room temperature to cook the spaghetti. - Two cups of cold water - Ten cloves, can be more, but ten is enough - 250 grams of spaghetti - One cup of sugar - Two tablespoons of vanilla - Cinnamon powder, amount needed - One cup of powdered milk, you can use any type of milk. - ice - Condensed milk, optional PREPARATION

Place the pasta, cloves, sugar and two litres of water in a preferably wide pot and cook over a medium heat for half an hour.

Once the spaghetti is cooked and soft, let it cool down.

Now we start to blend all the contents of the pot, add the powdered milk, the vanilla and the cold water, I do this process in two parts because the whole mixture does not fit in the blender.

Strain through a sieve to remove any lumps and bits of cloves left over.

Serve over ice and sprinkle cinnamon on top, you can add condensed milk too!

“CHICHA” UN DELICIOSO BATIDO TRADICIONAL

La “Chicha” es una bebida espesa muy sabrosa, por lo general se elabora artesanalmente, también hay muchas variantes, hoy comparto la que más me gusta, la hago con espaguetis y clavo de olor, se puede sustituir los clavos de olor por canela, a mi me gusta la combinación de estas dos especies, también queda deliciosa añadiendo arequipe a la mezcla, en realidad existen muchas formas de hacer esta deliciosa bebida.

INGREDIENTES - Dos litros de agua a temperatura ambiente para cocinar los espaguetis - Dos tazas de agua fría - Diez clavos de olor, pueden ser más, pero diez son suficientes - 250 gramos de espaguetis - Una taza de azúcar - Dos cucharadas de vainilla, - Canela.en polvo, cantidad necesaria - Una taza de leche en polvo, puedes utilizar cualquier tipo de leche - Hielo - Leche condensada, opcional PREPARACIÓN

En una olla preferiblemente ancha colocamos la pasta, los clavos, el azúcar y los dos litros de agua; cocinamos a fuego medio durante media hora.

Ya cocido y blando el espagueti lo dejamos enfriar.

Ahora comenzamos a licuar todo el contenido de la olla, añadimos la leche en polvo, la vainilla y el agua fría, yo este proceso lo hago en dos partes porque toda la mezcla no entra en la licuadora.

Pasamos por un colador para retirar los grumos y los trocitos sobrantes de clavos de olor.

Servir con hielo y espolvorear canela por encima, ¡puedes agregar leche condensada también!
