In [Nature in Black And White](https://peakd.com/hive-142159/@babeltrips/monomad-june-29th-nature-in-black-and-white) @babeltrips gives us five photos and a nice description of a visit she and her friend took to a stream in Danang, Vietnam. The photos would probably not be improved with color; the lack of color helps to isolate and give emphasis to the elements in her composition.

This author is definitely worth a follow: there's great work on the way.

The story is a sequel to the tale of Beauty and the Beast, and the two are on a quest to get cursed because Beauty wants the Beast she fell in love with, not the prince. The link above is to chapter seven; there's still time to catch up and follow along.

["The day the sun got depressed"](https://peakd.com/hive-179291/@abisag/entrada-al-concurso-de-microrrelatos-fantasticos-de-literatos-or-el-dia-que-el-sol-se-deprimio) stood out as our favorite because of its perfect, storytelling voice. We also love the illustrations, two of which are collages made by the author.

We especially enjoyed the story that inspired his collage, a spooky German legend about a night crab used to keep children away from the forest. ***
