En casa, la familia siempre jugó un rol primario y ciertamente él era el que mayor responsabilidad tenía con el sustento del hogar, aunque mi mamá también trabajaba, ella era quien faltaba al trabajo cuando estábamos enfermos y además asumía las tareas cotidianas de la casa, aunque el fin de semana papi se encargaba de la limpieza de las puertas, ventanas y el baño.

En la medida que pasaron los años, papi aprendió a cocinar y se involucró más con nuestra vida escolar.

Cuando tuve mis hijos jugó un papel determinante en su educación , pues fueron huérfanos de padre con menos de cinco años, él fue la figura paterna de los niños hasta que 5 años después contraje matrimonio y compartió ese rol con mi esposo.

Por suerte eso va cambiando cada vez más y los avances se ven de generación en generación, mi esposo y mi padre como abuelo no tuvieron las opciones que hoy ofrecen las leyes en mi país.

Hoy los padres desde la gestación juegan un papel más activo, participan en el parto e incluso junto con la madre aprende a manipular y alimentar al bebe.

También es justo señalar que hoy en día ha aumentado los divorcios y que muchos padres al separarse de las madres lo hacen también de los hijos y también hay que decir que muchas madres ponen trabas y dificultan la relación con los padres.

Esta situación es un asunto al cual hay que prestarle mucha atención para que los menores tengan una infancia equilibrada, pues se necesita ecariño de ambos padres y las dos partes tienen mucho que aportar en la crianza de sus hijos.
