Hallo Schachfreunde, heute möchte ich Euch eine nette Schachaufgabe präsentieren. Ich fand Sie beim Durchstöbern meiner alten Karteikarten, auf denen ich vor vielen Jahren einige Aufgaben, die mir besonders gefallen haben, verewigt habe. Die Aufgabe ist von einem Schachspieler und Schachstudienkomponisten namens Wladimir Horwitz. Mir gefällt sie wegen der vorhandenen Geometrie besonders gut. Wenn ihr die Lösung findet oder später sehen werdet, werdet ihr verstehen, was ich meine :-) Aufgabe: Weiß am Zug setzt Matt in 5 Zügen. Viel Spaß beim Knobeln!

Dear chess friends, today I'd like to present a nice chess puzzle with a surprising solution (at least to me). I found the puzzle in my collection of record cards which I collected a couple of years ago. I collected the most impressive ones. The puzzle is from a chess player and study composer who's name is Wladimir Horwitz. I like the puzzle because of its geometry. If you find the solution you'll understand why.
