Como es de esperarse un reality show necesita de un público que lo consuma y el show de Truman es el programa más visto en todo el mundo. Todo lo que se ve en el show puede ser adquirido por el espectador mediante un catálogo donde consiguen desde los productos de limpieza hasta los autos e incluso las casas que aparecen. Hay escenas donde los diálogos son una publicidad del producto y para Truman todo eso es una conversación normal. No hay un solo rincón de privacidad en este programa. Podremos estar de acuerdo en que hacer esto en nuestra realidad no estaría bien visto. Las repercusiones legales y derechos humanos entrarían en juego. Pero la realidad supera la ficción, estoy seguro que en alguna parte del mundo, por cualquier método hay quienes disfrutan y prestan servicios como el que plantea The Truman show.
