Después de mucho tiempo sin pasar por acá y dejar de escribir mis vivencias personales (más allá de las publicaciones de maquillaje que hecho recientemente que para serles sincera me ha ayudado muchísimo a drenar mi estrés y ansiedad por esta enfermedad), regreso nuevamente para poder compartir con ustedes mi experiencia con el Covid-19. Este post me costó mucho hacerlo, ya que recordar ciertas cosas y todas las etapas que pase en este periodo de tiempo aún están a flor de piel y lo que genera una fuerte carga sentimental en mí. El año pasado fue muy duro para mi familia y mi círculo más cercano, tener que estructurar el tiempo de una manera tal en que la pandemia no sea un gran obstáculo ha sido un gran reto. Trabajar, salir, estar con mi hijo y hacerme responsable del hogar ha representado un gran cambio en mí, mudarnos de donde estábamos viviendo y todo lo que acarrea una mudanza es realmente estresante. Pero, fue hasta este año en que me contagie del Covid-19, para serle sincera pensaba que era asintomática que el virus no atacaba mi cuerpo como lo hace con muchas personas, el año pasado tomaba con sumo cuidado las medidas de bioseguridad para que mis seres queridos y demás personas no se contagiaran, ya que si era asintomática podía ser un foco de contagio afectando a muchas personas sin darme cuenta.

Working, going out, being with my son, and taking responsibility for the home has represented a big change for me, moving from where we were living and everything that a move entails is really stressful. But, it was until this year that I was infected with Covid-19, to be honest, I thought I was asymptomatic that the virus did not attack my body as it does with many people, last year I took the biosecurity measures very carefully so that my loved ones and other people will not be infected, since if it was asymptomatic it could be a source of contagion affecting many people without realizing it.

ASI FUE QUE EMPEZÓ TODO...// THAT'S HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Sin embargo, hace aproximadamente 9 semanas con el conocimiento de una nueva cepa en nuestro país mi hijo empezó a presentar síntomas de gripe, tuvo fiebre alta, malestar general y un poco de tos, pensé que era un simple gripe, le suministre los medicamentos necesarios y a la semana ya estaba saltando y corriendo. Después, mi hermano y un amigo que estaba de visita por unos días por cuestiones de trabajo presentaron síntomas similares, pero ellos les tomó un poco más de tiempo en recuperarse, hasta ese momento todos pensábamos que era un gripe o algún resfriado por el cambio de temperatura. El 17 de marzo me empiezo a sentir muy mal dolores de cabezas muy fuertes, dolor en los ojos, malestar general y un poco de quebranto, realmente pensé que era más de lo mismo que habían tenido mi hijo, mi hermano y nuestro amigo. Tomé algunos medicamentos pensando que era una simple gripe y que al pasar tres o cuatro días todo estaría en su completa normalidad.

Pasaron algunos días pero no mejoraba, estaba sintiéndome cada día más débil, los dolores de cabeza eran más intensos, el malestar general se agudizaba más y los quebrantos ya eran fiebre de 40 grados. Estaba negada a que fuera COVID, la verdad decía que no podía ser, ya que yo me estaba cuidando y tomando las medidas necesarias para evitar esto. Despertaba sintiéndome mal y pensaba esto va a pasar en cualquier momento es algo completamente normal una simple gripe, hasta que un día llegué y estaba revisando la nevera para ver que podía utilizar para preparar el almuerzo, había una comida guardada y dije ¡Ah vamos a calentarla y nos la comemos, pero para sorpresas de todos no percibía el olor. En ese momento no sé qué paso por mi cabeza, creo que primero que pensé en todas las cifras de muerte a nivel mundial por Covid que había leído unos días atrás, debo afirmar que tuve miedo sentí miedo y pánico, me decía no puedes perder esta batalla, está tu hijo.

At that moment I do not know what went through my head, I think that first I thought of all the death figures worldwide from Covid that I had read a few days ago, I must affirm that I was afraid, I felt fear and panic, I told myself you cannot lose this battle, there is your son.

DIAS DIFICILES, DE DESESPERACIÓN Y DE MUCHO DOLOR POR PÉRDIDA DE UN FAMILIAR MUY PERO MUY CERCANO.// DIFFICULT DAYS, OF DESPERATION AND OF A LOT OF PAIN FOR THE LOSS OF A FAMILY MEMBER VERY BUT VERY CLOSE

Empezaron los dolores en el pecho, la tos seca aún más fuerte, la falta de energía, la falta de apetito, dolor en la espalda hacia donde están ubicados los pulmones, la fatiga se hacía más constante, parecía que mi cuerpo estaba muy muy pero muy débil. Empecé a tomar más medicamento y los cuidados fueron en la casa, no sé si me decisión en quedarme en casa y que me atendieran aquí en ese momento fue la más lógica pero creo que si hubiera estado en un centro médico hubiera sido mucho peor. Comencé a sentir falta de aire, mi capacidad pulmonar como que estaba empezando a disminuir, cosa que me angustió bastante aunque no fue necesario colocarme oxigeno sentía dificultad para respirar, solo trataba de no pensar en más nada que recuperarme, tomarme los medicamentos, las infusiones, hacer las valorizaciones y orar mucho. Fue el jueves 25 de marzo que recibí una noticia muy dolorosa, yo casi sin poder dormir leí un mensaje de mi hermano diciéndome que mi abuelo había muerto por Covid. Está noticia para mí fue terrible, no podía respirar, no podía llorar, no podía gritar era terrible la sensación que tenía. Todo mi cuerpo temblaba y lo único que pensaba era que a lo mejor yo lo había contagiado, en ese momento empecé a llorar porque me sentía culpable, estaba muy impactada por la noticia, recuerdo que para ese entonces estaba mi esposo a mi lado y me dice no puedes pensar así todos estamos expuestos, por eso estamos en pandemia, este virus es así. No puedes echarte la culpa de algo que no es así. Logré tranquilizarme, pero mi cuerpo temblaba, estaba muy débil... Me sentía muy mal... Empecé a buscar aire porque la respiración estaba muy débil. Después de todo esto tuve que hablar con mis padres y lamentar no estar con ellos ni con ni con mi abuelo para despedirme de él, pero yo aún no podía ni siguiera caminar del cuarto a la sala sin que me faltara el aire. Fueron días difíciles, duros y de gran sentimiento. Creo que por eso mi recuperación ha sido lenta. Aunque todos los días me levanto con ánimo para sentirme mejor.

It was Thursday, March 25, that I received very painful news, I almost unable to sleep I read a message from my brother telling me that my grandfather had died from Covid. This news for me was terrible, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't cry, I couldn't scream, the feeling I had was terrible. My whole body was trembling and all I thought was that maybe I had infected it, at that moment I started crying because I felt guilty, I was very shocked by the news, I remember that by then my husband was by my side and I say you can't think like that, we are all exposed, that is why we are in a pandemic, this virus is like that. You cannot blame yourself for something that is not like that. I managed to calm down, but my body was shaking, I was very weak ... I felt very bad ... I started to look for air because my breathing was very weak. After all this, I had to talk to my parents and regret not being with them or my grandfather to say goodbye to him, but I still couldn't even walk from the room to the living room without gasping for air. They were difficult days, hard and of great feeling. I think that's why my recovery has been slow. Although every day I wake up with the courage to feel better.

DIAS BUENOS, PERO, OTROS NO TANTO// GOOD DAYS, BUT, OTHERS NOT SO MUCH

Después de que falleciera mi abuelo, seguir el tratamiento e inyectarme medicamentos para acelerar el proceso de desinflamación en mis pulmones fui mejorando poco a poco y estaba bastante animada porque el solo hecho de poder comer aunque esto me cansaba mucho pero fue todo un alivio saber que podía disfrutar un poco la comida (me encanta comer y cocinar). Esa semana me sentí bien y pensé que todo había pasado, era como estas durmiendo por mucho tiempo y tener pesadillas constante pero logras despertar un poco aturdido pero despertaste. Ya podía caminar con más tranquilidad y estar un poco más con mi hijo. Lamentablemente no sé qué pasó, pero hace dos semana empecé a tener como una especie de recaída... Me dolía demasiado el pecho, me costaba respirar, la tos se hacía cada vez más presente, dolor de cabeza y mi olfato que aún no lo recupero.

I could walk more calmly and be a little more with my son. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened, but two weeks ago I started having a kind of relapse ... My chest hurt too much, it was difficult for me to breathe, the cough was becoming more and more present, a headache and my sense of smell had not yet it recovered.

FUERZA MENTAL Y FISICA// MENTAL AND PHYSICAL STRENGTH

Yo no sabía que hacer por un momento entré en una especie de desesperación porque no entendía que era lo que sucedía con mi cuerpo y mi salud, pensé que todo ya estaba bien mejorando poco a poco. Lamentablemente tuve que hacerme unos rayos xs, tomografía del tórax, exámenes de laboratorio y PCR para poder ver qué era lo que estaba sucediendo. Los exámenes arrojaron tenía todavía las secuelas por Covid-19 y está estaba produciendo una neumonía. Y de nuevo! Más medicamentos, reposo e inyecciones. Creo que lo que me ha llevado mantenerme en pie ha sido mi nivel mental y emocional. Este virus a mí parecer juega contigo por un momento estás bien y en otro estás muy mal, es como que jugara con tus esperanzas. Yo he estado con pensamientos muy positivos para lograr generar en mi cuerpo (aunque no lo esté) un estado de bienestar metal, pero no ha sido fácil desde la muerte de mi abuelo, a solo a un mes de su muerte, ya hemos perdido físicamente a dos familiares más. Esto ha sido rudo bastante fuerte.

I have been with very positive thoughts to generate in my body (although it is not) a state of mental well-being, but it has not been easy since the death of my grandfather, just a month after his death, we have already lost physically two more relatives. This has been tough enough.

HAY QUE APRENDER DE ESTO, TOMAR CONCIENCIA Y CAMBIAR...// YOU HAVE TO LEARN FROM THIS, BE AWARE AND CHANGE

Al vivir toda experiencia con el Covid, creo que me hizo tomar conciencia de ciertos aspectos de mi vida. El vivir el día a día sin darme cuenta de los pequeños detalles, vivir de una manera apresurada, a veces no valorar esos instante de tiempo que tengo para compartir con una persona, lograr expresar de una manera fácil mis emociones, decir un te amo y un te quiero sin sentirme avergonzada y entender que estamos un día en este mundo y al otro no. No estaba muy segura de publicar esto, ya que para mí es un poco difícil hablar de mí y de cómo me siento a veces porque en ciertos momentos soy una persona muy insegura en expresar lo que pienso, pero al leer el post de @jauregui98 me sentí tan identificada porque son situaciones que te tocan el alma, la fibra humana que tenemos todos, así que dije: Bueno, qué más da, terminemos de escribir esto. Quiero también agradecer mucho a las personas que se preocuparon por mí y que estuvieron allí, aunque varias no forman parte de esta comunidad hay otras que sí y que estuvieron allí dando ánimos como por ejemplo @ambarvegas, @sthephany, @joelsegovia, @truelovemom, @sergiotorres, @chrstnv, @appreciator... De verdad lo último que puedo decir, es gracias y agradecerle a Dios estar hoy aquí con mi familia y mi hijo recuperándome poco a poco para ser mejor persona.

By living all experience with Covid, I think it made me aware of certain aspects of my life. I was not very sure about posting this, since for me it is a bit difficult to talk about myself and how I feel sometimes because at certain times I am a very insecure person in expressing what I think, but when I read @ jauregui98's post I felt so identified because they are situations that touch your soul, the human fiber that we all have, so I said: Well, what difference does it make, let's finish writing this.
