Other Niche Communities Curation Report #1347

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1347th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Store Hopping after a Comprehensive Training

I was tasked to attend a training in Tacloban City, the capital city of my province, Leyte. Attending trainings sometimes makes a little anxious. It requires me to go out of my comfort zone. The responsibilities I have to leave behind for a while, new environment and new people to deal with, make me feel anxious even just for a short time. But thankfully, things are good. I realized this is a good way to break from routine. And the learnings coming from the training are indispensable. The much needed break for me, I guess is this.

These are the things I am passionate about photographing (Including reflections)

Today is Saturday, and as usual visiting my friends from this incredible ¨ShadowHuntersCommunity ¨: to participate in the invitation that our friend @olgavita makes us in her splendid ¨ReflectionHuntersContest¨: where we have the opportunity to exercise our photography skills. I am not a professional on the subject, but since I have acquired a semi-professional device I try to constantly improve my shooting skills

East Coast Beer

Immigrant families arrived in 1952 to a small coastal Umkomaas town, close to where I live. Broke but smart people they made the town home after most left Friuli, Italy to start a new future. Excellent Italian dishes are found dotted along the coastal villages mostly started as family businesses that have thrived since their arrival. Always enjoy the history attached to each business, delve around it's always there

Weekends working in full colour and healthy (WEEK 173)

The job was initially from Monday to Saturday, but then the boss offered me to work on Sundays as well, of course for a bit more money, and I said yes. I had most of the afternoon free so there was no problem.

Among the things I liked the most, many things, was that the place of work was only a 10-minute walk from my house, I loved dealing with people and people treated me very well.

The Walls of Berlin - Talking to a Shrunken Head Street Artist [CCC's Street Art Contest]

Even though I find myself literally surrounded by street art, it does not happen very often that I actually meet an artist in person. So I am even more excited to introduce you to Opusone, who I got to know through work. He showed me the design of his shrunken head, and announced that I would get to see it all over Berlin.

A Required Investment

For years, we have been struggling to get our internet service back. We lost the service from the government-own national company (CANTV) after a famous platform collapse back in 2013. For months, we paid for a service that we were not getting because allegedly that was the only way to guarantee the reinstallation. I gave up after a while and started to look for private services. It wasn't until a few months ago that a new fiber service was announced, but it took them a while to cover the area we live in.

Where am I? ... Unexplainable Event (En –Es)

He awoke abruptly to the sound of a loud thump. She opened her big black eyes and tried to smooth her long frizzy hair with her hands. Two teenage girls were looking at her in astonishment and anger, saying at the same time:

-Drunk!... get off the bus- the younger one threw a rock at her, which she dodged.

An Unusual Christmas | Review of "Tokyo Godfathers"

Hello, #HiveCon friends. This week I finally culminated my tour through the films of the great Satoshi Kon, this time it was the turn of Tokyo Godfathers. As has happened to me with all of this director's films, I started watching it blindly, that is, without even reading a synopsis, so I was surprised to discover that it was a Christmas movie, although with a different touch due to the genius of Kon. This movie takes us on a journey through the snowy streets of Tokyo, where the magic of Christmas mixes with a harsh reality, giving us an incredibly touching story full of laughter.

Hello Hivers, how are you? We meet here again in a new post visiting a place that is not new, but despite the many times I have visited Valencia, it is the first time I have come, which caught my attention, since I was going to eat one of my lifelong favorite foods.
