¡Hola dulces abejitas!

Los peques de la casa me han pedido Churros. Aunque no es una receta que amerite mucho tiempo ni ingredientes la mayoría de las veces me cuesta lograr que queden crujientes. Quizás esta deliciosa receta tenga algunos trucos, pero no será impedimento para mostrarte como los hice el día de hoy. ¡No quedó absolutamente nada!

The kids at home have asked me for Churros. Although it is not a recipe that requires a lot of time or ingredients, most of the time I have a hard time getting them crispy. Maybe this delicious recipe has a few tricks, but that won't stop me from showing you how I made them today. There was absolutely nothing left!

• 1 taza de agua • 2 cucharadas de mantequilla • 1 pizca de sal • 2 cucharadas de azúcar • 1 taza de harina de trigo todo uso • 1 huevo • Aceite para freír • Azúcar • Canela (opcional)

- 1 cup water - 2 tablespoons butter - 1 pinch of salt - 2 tablespoons sugar - 1 cup all-purpose flour - 1 egg - Oil for frying - Sugar - Cinnamon (optional)

• Colocar el agua junto con la mantequilla, la pizca de sal y las dos cucharadas de azúcar en una olla sobre fuego bajo. Revolver y esperar a que hierva. • Agregar la harina en pequeñas cantidades y remover con una espátula de madera sin dejar que se pegue a las paredes de la olla, el punto ideal de la mezcla será cuando ya no se pegue y se forme una pelota. Retira del fuego. • Dejamos reposar la mezcla durante 5 minutos aproximadamente, luego agregamos el huevo y continuamos mezclando hasta que se integre perfectamente. Si lo haces con la mezcla caliente lo más probables es que se cuaje y no tendrá buen sabor. • Cuando ya la mezcla esta lista procedemos a utilizar una manga pastelera con una boquilla preferiblemente de mayor tamaño, en caso de no tenerla puedes usar una bolsa plástica. • Calentar la sartén con el aceite y con mucho cuidado comienza a freír cada uno de los churros. • La cocción no tarda mas de 1 minuto, debes dejarlos bien dorados para que queden crujientes. • Por ultimo agrega azúcar al gusto, también puedes colocar canela si deseas (no me gusta).

If you do it with the mixture hot, it will probably curdle and it will not taste good. - When the mixture is ready, proceed to use a piping bag with a nozzle, preferably larger, if you don't have one, you can use a plastic bag. - Heat the frying pan with the oil and carefully start frying each one of the churros. - The cooking does not take more than 1 minute, you must leave them well browned so that they are crispy. - Finally add sugar to taste, you can also add cinnamon if you wish (I don't like it).
