Often we hear, the natural beauty of Aceh really amaze tourists from abroad. But unfortunately, tourist destinations have not been managed properly, making it difficult to realize Aceh as a religious tourist visit. Sering kita mendengar, keindahan alam Aceh sungguh memukau para turis dari mancanegara. Tetapi sayangnya, destinasi wisata belum dikelola dengan baik sehingga sulit mewujudkan Aceh sebagai daerah kunjungan wisata religi. Ketika bicara tentang destinasi wisata, berarti harus menyinggung banyak sarana dan prasarana pendukung, mulai dari sumber daya manusia, kebudayaan, sampai infrastruktur.

Ketika menyinggung banyak aspek, tanggung jawab memajukan potensi wisata menjadi sebuah industri yang menguntungkan, tidak saja berada di pundak dinas kepariwisataan. Semua dinas bersama masyarakat dan pihak swasta, harus ikut mendukung tumbuhnya industri wisata. Jika tidak, keindahan alam dan kekayaan budaya di Aceh tidak akan memberikan kontribusi bagi masyarakat dan daerah seperti yang diharapkan.

Di tengah konsep pariwisata yang tak jauh dari seks dan minuman keras, Aceh memang berusaha menawarkan konsep wisata halal sesuai syariat. Kementerian Pariwisata juga sudah mengeluarkan regulasi tentang pedoman wisata halal, dengan segala pro dan kontra dan itu biasa saat di Indonesia. Setiap daerah tinggal menyesuaikan dengan kekayaan budaya dan alam sekitarnya.

Aceh yang memiliki banyak distinasi wisata religi seperti makam para tokoh Islam ternama, belum bisa memanfaatkan kekayaan itu untuk menarik wisatawan dari negara Muslim untuk datang berbondong-bondong. Demikian juga dengan kekayaan budaya seperti momentum tarian saman, even wisata bahari di Sabang dan seluruh keindahan alam lainnya. Bahkan kekayaan hutan Leuser yang bisa menjadi kekayaan wisata hutan seperti di negara lain, belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal (untuk tidak menyebut diabaikan). Bahkan kabarnya justru pihak luar yang mengambil manfaat.

Tantangan mengembangkan wisata halal memang lebih berat, atau malah lebih mudah karena fokusnya jelas? Memang butuh kajian lebih dalam. Kalau sibuk mengkaji terus, kapan eksekusinya? Kapan bekerja untuk mengubah paradigma masyarakat bahwa wisata itu hanya seputar seks dan alkohol? Kapan mengubah budaya masyarakat agar mau melayani wisatawan selayaknya seorang tuan rumah memperlakukan tamu? Membangun manusia yang sadar wisata—terutama wisata religi—jauh lebih sulit dibandingkan membangun infrastruktur.
