## My Power Up for May 2021

And I know I know 50,000 HP seems so far away when you are only at 5,496 but I manage to get to be a dolphin just with my posting earnings, it took me long and it was not easy, but I was able to accomplish it. So, I say DREAM HIGHER. To be honest this was in the canvas template for a blog cover and when I was looking for inspiration to make this power up post it came up and it was perfect, it represents my feelings at the moment with Hive, you see I have manage to have food on my plate and more importantly on my kid’s, we recently had our first trip to the ER with the little guy and even tho we had to spend money on medicines and doctors house calls and all that we still had money to buy him a tablet (you can read about it [here]( https://peakd.com/hive-165757/@victoriabsb/using-my-hive-savings-making-a-moms-life-easier)) and we have manage all of this while living in Venezuela with an over the moon hyperinflation, thanks to Hive, and not to brag but ok yes to brag I have done all this without ever needing a single power down. So, what is next?

### Dreaming of a Car Like I said we thankfully have pretty much all the needs cover at the moment, we have food, we have a house and even tho we do want to fix some small things on the house like paint and maybe buy a dresser for the kid’s bedroom, we have come to the realization what we really need right now is a car, you’ll see we live in a town where everything is far away from everything lol, and we have a small child, so with the pandemic and the lack of gasoline in the country, paying for taxis is over the moon expensive, we have manage to stay clear of covid due to the precautions we take this including not take public transportation unless is really necessary, and this is starting to affect our lives, especially the child, we cant go anywhere and if we have an emergency like the other day we depend on other people’s good will to give us a ride or have to spend a lot on a cab. ![]( https://sdk.bitmoji.com/render/panel/8a6a3f75-d270-402f-babc-7d65327f2a04-7f32b9b2-f5b6-4479-937e-59a0eb92274b-v1.png?transparent=1&palette=1) We need a car, but not a brand new one or a fancy one, we need one that does the job of taking us from point A to point B without consuming too much gas and not breaking down on the middle of the street, so we have a goal set to buy a car that cost around 1,000$ to 1,500$ we are not in a hurry so we haven't set a dateline to accomplish this but we would pretty much like it to be this year, and so that is my short time dream right now it may not seem high enough for some but to me trying to buy a car from my Hive earnings is a pretty big dream to be honest. ### HIVE Power UP Day

Anyways… this is a power up post to celebrate as every 1st of the month the #HivePUD and as usual I don’t do more than what I can afford but I still manage to make it over the 10 Hive threshold to get my monthly badge of @hivebuzz the other thing I try to do every month is to help power up another hiver who deserves it, this time around I did a power up to @mafalda2018 of 10 Hives too so she can also get her badge this month. ![hp.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/victoriabsb/23tGVQtnvW1WGFgPW5ChJfc5DioRWVQot18nFTHBp6JLjR1f2FidskP9ygfQSpvJMLaKN.png) Remember by powering up hive you not only increasing your earnings form curation you are also gaining more saying in the governance of Hive, your vote has more value for witness and proposals, powering up is not only good for Hive is good for all!
