What is Steemigram ?

Steemigram is a tool which allows Instagramers to automatically transfer their photos to Steemit, directly from the Instagram app. It is a wonderful tool to monetize one's Instagram pictures easily.

How does it work ?

The user must, of course, have a Steemit account, and an Instagram account. The first step is to register the Instagram account on http://steemigram.com. Registration is secured by a Steemconnect authentication. Once done, the user declares the Instagram account to link to the Steemit account.

Then, he continues to use Instagram as he always did, except he must use, in his Instagram posts, the tag #steemigram. The program detects the tag and automatically knows the post must also be published on Steemit.

The publication on Steemit respects the Instagram text formatting. It can fetch single picture, multiple pictures and video posts. For the videos, they are displayed after the thumnail is clicked, as they can't be embedded on Steemit.

The avatar of the Instagram account is also fetched and displayed on top of the post. The footer contains a link to the user's Instagram account, and a link to the Steemigram website.

Can I post from any Instagram account ?

You must be able to post by yourself, and add the #steemigram tag to your picture to get it posted on Steemit. This prevents users from posting photos of Instagram account they don't own. An Instagram account can only be declared once, so duplicates are not possible. But a single user can register with multiple Steemit accounts, and link as many Instagram accounts.

How can Steemit benefit of this ?

There are one billion active accounts on Instagram (as in June 2018). The promise of an easy monetization of their pictures could attract lots of people on Steemit. First, they can make money without changing their favourite photo app, and they get to know the power of the Steem blockchain.

Why a Fundition campaign ? How is the project funded ?

First, a word about the creators payout, which is done by taking a 5% fee each, so 10% total. A part of the rewards earned this way will be used for the server maintenance, and all the work accomplished, past and future.

We are now looking for funds to invest in the project itself. This project will live if the promised montization is effective. So we need funds to grow the @steemigram Steemit account, in order to give votes to the Instagramers. The greatest part of the collected funds will be used to power up the account and reward Instagramers efficiently.
