SteemPets Goals!

SteemPets needs funds to forge ahead with increasing our SteemPets!

Alongside this goal to create as many new SteemPets as possible, I believe that many people, myself included! truly need some time outside. One of the initial goals of SteemPets is to work on a mobile App that will allow SteemPet owners to track their walks, jogs, hikes or runs with their Pet. This could be also translated onto a virtual SteemPets map that encourages people to reach for achievements, badges and rewards.

I believe that creating a community that is healthy and happy through interaction, and activity is unique as well as community building at its core.

SteemPets ~ Bringing heartwarming, personal pets to life on the blockchain.

Stage One:

In this first stage we are asking for $2500 in support to accomplish our initial goals of creating SteemPets, developing blockchain, digital ownership of SteemPets and beginning the initial development work to bring SteemPets into our lives as true companions that we begin physically exercising with and taking on walks that SteemPets owners do as a community.

We will begin plans for the next phase of development which will focus on 3D animated applications for SteemPets interaction!

Bringing SteemPets To The World ~ Beyond The BlockChain

Bringing SteemPets to the world is a worthy goal and finding ways to create interest in the blockchain with a project that has universal appeal. SteemPets is a futuristic idea that has been done in the past with projects like Tamagochi which still captivates many people to this day.

We believe we will surpass our own expectations based on the interest generated from SteemPet drawings alone.

Having an online SteemPets gaming community that runs on platforms such as DLive and YouTube will be paramount to the success of this project to reach out beyond the blockchain.

Our Humanitarian Heart

My personal desire to bring the blockchain into the mainstream has many facets to it.

I believe strongly in reaching people where they are and doing more for them than simply helping to feed and clothe them.

My vision is to send SteemPets ambassadors to places around the world.

My own post by @TheBugIQ to be curied was a project very near and dear to my heart. I personally brought shoes, clothes and toys to a group of about 50 Dominican/Haitian orphans who remain outcast from both societies due to non-recognition of mixed race children between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

I would love to go back there to these same kids and get them set up with computers, cameras and an account so they can begin posting and telling their story on the blockchain. That way we can support them as a community.

SteemPets is keen to support projects on the blockchain that show true heart and results in helping truly needy people and will strive to support projects like A Dollar A Day @adollaraday and others as our account strengthens and as we are able.

Who Is Behind SteemPets?!

I am @TheBugIQ

I was very comfortable working with @derosnec on PlankTown and I asked her to be involved with me again on SteemPets. She had just finished working on the Disney movie Ant Man & The Wasp so the timing was pretty good and she agreed to come along for another adventure!

I have to thank @poeticsnake for her willingness to always dream with me and help flesh out my crazy idea!!

While I do have many things planned for SteemPets, I wanted to start out very simply with a drawing of the SteemPet that is personalized. When I casually mentioned the idea in a discord one evening, several people began chiming in with ideas for their SteemPet. Most of those who chimed in now have one!

The engagement from people was so rapid that it surprised me. I don’t tend to get surprised a lot!

The plan to animate these SteemPets is front and center. And I think having an App that rewards people for walking their SteemPet in real life is a great way to help the entire community live a healthy balanced life by getting outside for a walk!
