Samara, VivaLand shopping center district. Quarter settled and abandoned "Stalinok". Typical "Stalinka" two-story houses - the main housing for workers, known in many cities. Someone calls them barracks, someone is "Stalinka". These homes, built in the postwar years, have long served their time. Many of the houses in this series are recognized as emergency and resettled. But they are not demolished immediately, some buildings have been in an abandoned state for more than one year. Over time, they turn into landfills and havens for the homeless. Very often in such houses there are various emergency situations and fires. Gradually pinched by high-rise buildings, these houses stand like monuments, casting anguish and gazing out onto the street with empty sockets of the windows.
