Hello Steem Medics,
Online Wardround is a new programme of Air-Clinic for medics(non-medics are welcome too). We will be having this on a weekly basis to simulate clinical practice online in a fun way.
WHAT IS AIR-CLINIC?
#Air-Clinic is a healthcare facility built on the blockchain with the aim of decentralizing healthcare and rendering preventive/curative care to the entire steemiverse.
Our major mission is to provide easy, quick and affordable healthcare on a global scale, we embark on different projects as an incentive to get clients to enjoy affordable health care.
We bring healthcare professionals together on the blockchain and mentor them into becoming better blockchain experts. They learn to practice their special profession on this blockchain and excel with it.
WHAT IS SMSI?
We announced that we would embark on the STeem Medics Support Initiative to encourage medics and health enthusiast in our community. To do this, we have decided to weave in the traditional ward rounds on the blockchain. This would be not be different from the usual rounds.
Here are the features that will be concurrent on every grand-round episode;
1- Attendance Register:
Here we note down the names of all the participants of previous grandrounds who want to be beneficiaries of the SMSI sub-project. We also update the list as we grow in number. Please remember to introduce yourself stating your name, specialty and location so that we can all familirize.
2- Share Your Interesting Cases:
As a practicing medical practitioner, you must have experienced some striking cases during your practice for the week. Please do share with us all.
3- Mention Other Medics:
*If you know any medics on steem, please feel free to mention them with @steem_username one after the other. Hopefully they get notifications and they can come be a part of this.
4- GrandRounds:
A special session of our online wardround is when we discuss a specific clinical scenario. We all get to learn from each other's experiences on the blockchain.
5- Tete-a-Tete:
The general purpose of this initiative is to improve the bonding between health experts from different locations of the world. Two things we have in common are;
(a). being steemians and
(b). being medics.
We can find other common grounds to relate with each other as we explore further.
6- UPVOTE SPLASH AND FREEBIES:
What's a gathering on steem without upvotes and coinshares? That is what we will do!
50% of post earnings will be shared among participants.
GRAND-ROUNDS
Here's the case for today:
25-year-old Sam is brought in by the police due to public concern regarding some bizarre and distressed behaviour in the city centre. The police say Sam will only speak of being “scared of ‘them’ ”. He’s currently curled up in a ball over in the corner of the room.
On history taking, the only information he could give you is...
“They’re after me…they’re going to get me. I’ve heard them talking about me.”
“They know what I’m doing, they know where I am. They follow me everywhere. They put a tracker in my head while I was asleep a year ago. Now they know where I am and what I think.”

“The chip was put in my brain last year. They’ve been getting louder ever since.”
ATTEMPT THE QUESTIONS:
1- What are your differential diagnoses?
2- Which of the Schneider's first rank symptoms is Sam displaying?
3- How would you get a proper history of Sam's ailment?
4- Which medications will you give?
