Here is the latest update on my never-ending court case. Today the case was put in front of another judge and yet another DA (that's number 4, if you haven't been following along). After 14 plus months, and now 14-15 appearances (I have honestly lost track), a trial date was FINALLY set. The date for the beginning of the trial is scheduled for 2 weeks from today, July 23rd. I have already placed a "call" to some of my friends who work with FIJA (the Fully Informed Jury Association) and other jury nullification groups, in hopes of receiving some support. My lawyer is also going to try one more time to strike a deal more to our liking, but I am less than hopeful since the State has dragged things out this far already. We shall see...
