It seems today is my birthday, not everyone in Libya celebrates birthdays and my family is one of those that don't... maybe this can be strange to someone who lives in the west but for us, birthdays are a little more than normal days. It was a coincidence that I bought "ReZero Light Novel" on my birthday. Now it seems like a birthday gift to myself ~
What is ReZero?
Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- is a Japanese webnovel by Tappei Nagatsuki. it was later published as a Light Novel and adapted to manga and then Anime in spring 2016.

It's a story about Natsuki Subaru, a NEET who found himself in another world, after getting beaten by a gang he was saved by silver haired girl and befriended her. He tried to help her the thing she lost only for the two of them to die.. Horribly.. Subaru eventually realized he have the abilty to Return-By-Death to a certain point in the past. and he tries to use his knoweldge about people he met in his previous "loops" to his advantage.
This story is so good as anime, that I decided I have to read the Light Novel version of it.... I think both stories that with protagonist going back in time, and returning from death are overused... but this story combines it with huge mystery and explores the full psylogical damage that happens when you have both of these abilites.
I mean, who can't feel sorry for someone who dies frequently and still fears the death and the pain that comes with it?!
Japanese Light Novels
I love reading Japanese light novels , since I read A Certain Magical Index for the first time when it was available on Baka-tsuki... I've already read more than 35 volumes of it (translated by the amazing person Js06)..... I read a lot of these novels translated in fan-translations including Sword Art Online, Haganai, PapaKiki (which for some reason I loved despite all the obvious fatal-flaws). most of these novels got licensed after I read them and I really want to support them when I can.... I think I've read more Light Novel pages than any other fiction books in both Arabic and English combined. (I think I'll calculate it one day).
I always wanted to buy Light Novels, but like with games, I don't have money to get what I want of them, and paying $11 for 250 pages book for a whole series of 10+ books. is too much for me... at least Video Games had sales where I can get them in prices I could afford.
Finally, I decided to choose a title, and get the series of books one by one. and because of this website (steemit) I had enough spare money to buy the first one this time.
Getting The Light Novel of Re:Zero
From all the LNs... I choose Re-Zero to buy because it's the favorite one that had Digital/Kindle English Release, if Sword Art Online had one I probably would've bought that and this article will have SAO in the title.
I choose to go Digital because of the shipping fees to my country aren't are a joke!! about $23 for $11 book?! well.. I can do $23 for three books ($33), but I decided it's better to have Digital version than paying additional fees (which I can't currently pay but with steemit help I'm sure I could in the future). even if it means sacrificing the lovely scent of paper~
I've read few pages, and I can feel the difference between the Offical Translation and the Fan-Translated writing I was reading before. I'll probably post a review for the Light Novel in the near future....
One day, I'll buy BAKUMAN, not the digital but print version. it's one of the few books I'll gladly pay shipping fees for (if/when I have money).
hey... anybody knows if there's any translation for Ano Hana?!
