(The Four Ladies)
Because I love love LOVE orchids, the most of my botanical paintings actually are orchids... :D
And I especially love Ladyslipper orchids. Unfortunately I don't own any, because these don't really grow here and it would be sad if they'd die... maybe that is why I paint these often. To get some of them into my house anyway.
However, I paint my botanical illustrations with watercolors & watercolor pencils, and sometimes also some coloured pencils. Depends on what tone of color I need for the details.
