Here is a teaser sketch of a new piece I am working on.

Here is a bit more of the little fellow:

He is going to be part of a series of things I have done before, in my design work for things, that is fairly popular. I have not done a new piece in it for awhile but for a larger hint, here is another in that series.

That probably makes it a bit easier to guess at who my new little character is going to be.

I love a bit of humour and cheek sometimes and I really have fun with animal characters.

As well as taking breaks from my larger involved digital oil pieces in my Singularity series with black and white drawings, these little character designs are also a nice break. I suppose I just can't focus on one thing too intently, and I want to make sure my focus is on art daily, so to keep it varied, I work on a few series. It gives me just enough variety whilst still allowing me to be focused.

A corralled sort of chaos if you like.

They say variety is the spice of life, so for me variety is the 'spice of art making'.

Another busy day for me so I am making this a rather quick post so I can get back to the studio. However, I wanted to share the sketch thus far of this little guy.

I hope your day, if busy, still has moments to take a break and enjoy a good day dream. Or simply a zombie stare whilst holding a cup of coffee, it's all good for the soul.
