When at first I made this portrait, everyone kept asking me if it was Mama Coco from the pop 'Coco' movie I drew. It was almost as though everytime I said No I was killing their spirit.
I decided to start on that note just if Incase you we're thinking the same thing.....lol.
As I said in an earlier post I shared last week, I'm kind of drifting back to my old forms and topics of sketching which is quite interesting. My favorite which has always been aged portraits is the subject of today. I've spent a lot of time around older people and for the most part, many don't have much fun at that age because of the lack of regular company.
"Time is contagious, everybody's getting old"
This has always been one of my favorite lines from a song. It was used by Damien Rice in 'Coconut Skins' and honestly those lines help me stay in touch with everything, enjoying each moment instead of thinking of things I can't have or holding a grudge that'll only give me a bad liver.
Life is short friends, enjoy it while you still can......
