Live Painting Session

Pictures from an opening event at the local Museum of Fine Arts.

I was invited to do a Live Painting Session on a billboard outside the museum and this is the first time I'm sharing these images with some of the process + details of the artwork.

Following the series I've recently shared, this time it was a freestyle composition taking my visual vocabulary to a larger scale in a public space.

The night was accompanied by Video Art projections and Live Music on another stage nearby (seen below with blue lighting in the background).

First thing I did was to outline the composition with a pencil before applying the colors with a flat brush.

The event took place outside the Museum and there were always people gathering around while I was painting...

One particular visitor seemed very curious about what was happening...

With the painting almost complete, purple was the only remaining color to be applied.

The finished artwork remained exhibited outside of the museum for about a month and also served as a background for other events that later took place there.
