Charcoal Drawing - HIDDENBLADE!!!!

Hello Folks!

Today i made an illustration for a friend! she is @hiddenblade, she is my master, friend and one of the best artists i know!

The idea of this illustration was to practice curls, but what really practiced were the tones.

Pauline (hiddenblade) lent me her face to illustrate and thus be able to advance in my practices

In addition to all this, i wanted to illustrate it as a sign of my friendship towards her, it is not a birthday gift but, a gift can be given no matter if it is an important date, no?

The Tools:

  • Mechanical Pencils.
  • HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B leads.
  • Charcoal Pencil.
  • Brush.
  • Diffuser.
  • Tisue.
  • Cotton
  • Moldable Eraser.
  • A4 Opaline 300G.

The Process:

  • I started making his eyes, giving him the shine and effects, use of the things that did not detail in my old illustrations were the reflections in the eyes, and how simple it is!

  • with the pencil HB, 3B and 6B i made the skin tone, the shadows and the eyelashes, corresponding.

  • Once again let me take the drawing and forget to take some pictures of the process ... With the pencil 6B i made the eyebrows, with the HB, 2B and 3B i made several layers of their skin, soften them with a tisue and cotton, too use the brush to make the shadows of the face

  • with charcoal, pencil 4B and 6B i made the lips, then i made the glitters with the moldable eraser, as well as some glitter on the face.

  • I made some remaining shadows on the face, but the skin tone is not right ... this gave me problems

  • I wanted to do the whole face to correct mistakes later, i also made some hair with the pencil 6B

  • To make your hair use a technique that I had done in my previous post, with a pen without ink i made strokes of hair, marking the paper to then illustrate with charcoal and mark the lines, these will be clear and give the effect of light hair.

Now my main problem. i showed the finished portrait to Master, but the tones were not adequate, she corrected me making the illustration darker. She knows a lot about this so i listened to her. Adjust the tones, shade a little more and finish the work.
