I chose to start with fish studies even though I've made some in the past. It's very refreshing and made me more confident about going outside of my comfort zone. Also some of the fishes look simply adorable!
I started a bit a head of time as I was impatient :D Each fish took me an average of 20 min to draw ^^

Day 1- Pencil Fish Studies
There is an incredible amount of various fishes of many fascinating colors and patterns. Also they live in many different conditions and have evolved some very unique traits to survive.
I always seem to discover a new fascinating kind of fish that I've never seen before, so there are a lot of new references I can use.

An Interesting Fish Fact:
Fish use a variety of low-pitched sounds to convey messages to each other. They moan, grunt, croak, boom, hiss, whistle, creak, shriek, and wail. They rattle their bones and gnash their teeth. However, fish do not have vocal chords. They use other parts of their bodies to make noises, such as vibrating muscles against their swim bladder.
