Fly birdie, fly!

Heyo! Its been a week since my last post but it seemed like a year for me already lol then I realized this is the techno world. I got really busy and faced alot of challenges for the past few days. As in really frustrated on how fast things had happened, everything has changed and everything is different.

its confidential! Haha

So to eventually get rid of the frustrations, I made a doodle art. A doodle art which includes a bird with traces of wonders on its wings. This means that despite of those challenges and shts, I can still be able to move on amazingly, leaving awesome traces as I continue my journey to success.

So let's start!

The drawing process

001 - Sketching

I first used a 2b pencil to sketch, I started with drawing some shapes - oval for the head then a big leaf-like shape that would signify the body, also a distorted parallelogram for the bird's tail and lastly another leaf-like shapes for the wings.

Then clearing up some details before inking that also served as guides for the inking process.

002 - Inking

This method was used all throughout the process since in the first place, this is a pen drawing lol. I used a fine-tipped pen and started applying ink to the sketch - firstly, i shaded the head using the cross-hatching technique.

While shading, I then emphasized the notable details in the head like the eyes, the beak, etc.

003 - Inking I

Yes of course, still inking lol but this time it was the bird's body that is being inked.

So I just continued what i've started on the head, using cross-hatching technique I also added some texture.

and then, added some more details, texture and stufd so the body was good

004 - Inking II

So after the body, the next one was the bird's tail.

Using again the cross-hatching method I created tone variation to the tail - like from dark to light thing. And then, I emphasized the lines, the texture, the form and everything.

005 - Inking III

Now, this was the first part in making the wings.

Applying cross-hatching method to the first part of the wings is still observable here, but just a bit though. I just emphasized some stuff on the wings like feathers, texture, etc. IMG_20180519_232207.jpg

006 - Doodling

The exciting part! So first, I started doodling on the right wing.

Since i had alot of thoughts, i let them all out thru doodling! IMG_20180603_192231.jpg

007 - Doodling II

And then after the right wing, I added doodle characters on the left wing as well.

Consisting of various doodle characters and stuff, the left wing was filled with it.

008 - Finalizing

I added some line hatches for the background
