Thanks to @donnadavisart and @opheliafu for the timely reminder of #inktober
All the things you need to know are here. It's 31 days of ink-based drawing (though ink-based gets very broadly defined)
I've added my own personal rules/constraints to the main ones in order to keep me on my toes, interested and producing regularly:
- Work on it for 30 minutes max.
- It doesn't have to be "good". Post whatever you have after 30 mins.
- Take the prompts and work with the first idea you have, no matter how cheesy or "obvious"
I remember when I was a kid there being a picture of a skull with eyeballs in someone's bathroom where I stayed. You had to look at it if you took a bath, and I liked taking baths, (there was no central heating so it was a good way of getting warm) but I didn't like looking at the eyeballs.
I know lots of people like skulls and drawing them, but I've never been that drawn to it till today. This guy started out with empty sockets but he gained some semblance of eyeball along the way.
Tomorrow: "Tranquil"
