I pass by this sculpture quite often but have never stopped to actually look at it, the level of detail is stunning to say the least, though i am unsure of the artist he/she has undoubtedly spent many a year perfecting their craft.
The sculpture also doubles as a bench and people often make use of it whilst watching the tennis players do their thing on the adjacent tennis court, below is a single seat that was sculpted out of the stump of a fallen tree which still remains embedded in the ground.
There also seem to be several other logs and stumps scattered around the park that may one day be sculpted in to something, i would assume that it would take a very long time to complete so we may not see the finished article for a while.
