The eyes are a contraption of human evolution. The eyes have many uses. They serve us to observe, to communicate, and even to fall in love. This wonder of nature has been modified in some human beings. They are very special cases, in which the color of the iris is altered due to a mutation called "Heterochromia iridum". It is considered an anomaly that gives different colors to the iris, which produces a beautiful phenomenon, I wanted to draw, and present it at the ART EXPLOSION WEEK 49: Theme MUTATIONS. Materials
-Graphite pencil number 2 (HB)
-Paper.
-Draft.
-Color blue and green.
Process

The process consisted of a lot of observation, to plan what would be the best way to draw an eye with heterochromia. The most appropriate was a design that could highlight the details of the iris. After having it planned, I started delineating each tab on the top.

I was playing with the position and the thick lines to finish the tabs at the top.

With the same technique, I made the upper lashes, and with a lighter graphite tone, I made a careful shading of the skin of the eyelids.

After reaffirming the effects of shading, I began to make the details of the iris with the graphite. I used dark strokes for a proper contrast, and so I had it ready to begin adding the color. Color was the key factor.

I started by adding a dark blue for the deep details, and a light blue for the surface areas. Then I used different shades of green to add the second color to the iris. And I kept the areas of light reflections blank, to obtain an attractive result..
