Honeybee with Buttercups
A few months ago (Fall of 2017), I participated as one of the artists in the 2017 Burien Art's "Vision 20/20" Art Event. This event started out (years ago - not sure how long ago...?) as an annual art event with 20 artists each creating 20 pieces of art on 8" x 8" square wood panels that are sold during the art gala event. Each piece of art is sold for $40. The artists receive half of the proceeds and the other half is kept by Burien Art's. This is their annual fundraising event. For the past couple years, however, each artist now just produces 10 pieces of work (not 20).
My friend has participated in the past, so last year, I decided to participate too.
I painted 10 panels - each with an insect theme. Artists can paint WHATEVER they wish, and use ANY media. It's completely up to the artist.

As you can imagine, after painting 10 of them, there are some panels I created which I feel turned out "better" than others. I would like to showcase some of my favorite panels I created. The first one I'd like to start with is the "Honeybee with Buttercups."
I will be placing this image on greeting cards in the near future, but would also like to offer it up here for other artists to use/alter here on Steemit. If you choose to alter it or use it as a part of other artwork, please post it in the comments. I'd love to see it.
