It’s been three weeks since I last went plein air painting (painting outdoors), so what better way to spend a Saturday than painting outside.
It’s autumn here in New Zealand and I went to Lake Hayes with the soul intention of painting some trees. I want to capture the colours of the leaves as they start turning yellow. I love painting these poplar trees and there are plenty of them there at Lake Hayes. I painted this art work in oils.
Autumn Trees, Lake Hayes, 18cm x 23cm, oil on canvas, painted outdoors en plein air.
