I had a couple of ideas for this, but then I realised that as well as this being #Inktober today is #TeleTuesday, so why not draw a guitar that's precious to me. I had this made by Benford Guitars in the USA. I got to know Steve Benford via the Six String Bliss podcast and forum. I got to play a couple of guitars he made and decided I'd like one for myself. You can see it on the site.
Here's my rendition of it.
I just put new strings on this and my Taylor acoustic. I'm very lazy about that and it's actually a first string change for each guitar! They seem to last fairly well for me. I used some D'Addario strings and saw they had a recycling scheme that gives you points you can trade for products. That sounded great, but you have to send at least 2lb weight of strings and it's USA only. I don't know if there are any UK schemes, but I'll save up my strings anyway. They can go to the local metal recycling as a last resort.
