Blazing

Finally found the perfect illustration for the blue background. I am really liking portrait with an element of nature in them. Yesterday's sketch was leaned more towards the cooler elements of nature like water or the earth while today's is quite the opposite. Originally the photograph had a bronze leafy crown but I liked adding a little fiery look to them. I believe the background could have been warm too, orange with crimson probably. But oh well, this is how you experiment isn't it? :)

I am thinking of starting a series of portraits of my loved ones or those with whom I am well acquainted. Anyway, it's just a thought right now, let's see how that progresses. These 2 sketches do look okay to me together side by side but could definitely have better color choices. As always, I love listening to feedbacks and would really appreciate some on these.
