My Sunday started of as a lazy day the day was overcast , cloudy but still warmth in the air as this is the way it always is in Bangkok even if it's monsoon period it still not cold in this city. I had no intention of going anywhere today till a friend of my called me up.

He was in town and wanted to catch up for lunch out near Khao San Road a place called the Vespa Cafe nice trendy cafe with some good Italian food.

I was all for that been Italian myself i didn't mind a bit of a change from Thai food so of i when to meet up with him for a good chat and some good Italian food some spaghetti and pizza well down well.

After a good feed a great chat of we when for a nice foot massage a long overdue needed one.

After the foot massage the day was getting on and had a long way to go back to my apartment the weather was looking very shady so i said goodbye to my mate and made my way back to one of the piers on the ChaoPhraya River. Found some graffiti on the way.

On my walk to the ChaoPhraya River i found some Tuk Tuk drivers doing some repairs to there Tuk Tuk's on the street all content and happy had a bit of a chat to them took a couple photos they didn't mind i said i was going to report them to the council for working on the street not that the Thai council here cares anyway...just kidding and of i went.

A nice neat and mean looking black BMW motor bike parked nearby the Tuk Tuk's.

All the afternoon restaurants setting up there tables for evening trading you get some of the most cheapest and delicious home made Thai food around these local areas.

At the ChaoPhraya river pier i see these young kids having a game of soccer i am thinking to myself if the soccer ball got accidentally kicked into the river what would they do to retrieve that ball and as i was thinking that the ball ended up in the river how funny and they surly were prepared for that , they were throwing rocks in the behind the soccer ball thus creating waves forcing the soccer ball towards them , then they fished it out with this long stick net , well looks though their done this heaps of times before how funny :)

And off they went playing again...lol.

An abandon spooky creepy house by the river with high land value.

As i was walking towards the inside of the pier to purchase my ticket i could hear all this splashing going on here it was some Thai kids were feeding the fish in the river throwing them bread this was a fisherman's paradise i thought never seen so many fish in one spot jumping over each other.

Even the Pigeons were trying to get in on the act.

My Taxi boat had arrived and it was time to make my journey down the ChaoPhraya River towards Saphan Taskin pier near my home the sky was getting pretty black and the wind was getting stronger.

Moving along the river the taxi boat was swaying around getting smashed by waves building up from the wind but i still felt safe this beautiful young lady with her long black hair flowing in the wind standing in from of me kept my mind of the weather.

These waves were really crashing up hard against this piles of sand almost tilting the load into the river.

We were both looking at this tug boat pulling these huge sand piles along the river thinking what a job this tug boat driver had it looked like at any moment he was going to loose his load.

Well i hope he didn't loose his load and actually moving further down the river the wind was easy of and those dark threatening clouds were moving on also.

Despite the weather conditions people were still cruising the river on tour boats the ChaoPhraya river is always full of tourist there are so many attraction on this river.

You can see the old with the new Bangkok including haunted houses along this river.

There are many shopping malls and high end restaurants and hotels at many of these piers were you can directly walk straight into them of the pier.

As i am getting to my stop at Saphan Taskin Pier the weather had made a complete turn around is what normally happens in monsoon seasons and i could see the sun setting over the other side of the Chao Phraya River.

So when i got of at my stop i made a dash up the 100 or more steps to the top of the bridge i wanted to caught that sunset over the Saphan Taskin Bridge and the Chao Phraya River.

At night the Chao Phraya River becomes more alive with dinner boat cruises and party boat cruises all lit up in beautiful colors including all the bridges along the river are lit up changing colors it's like New Years night every night on this river.

It's such a amazing spot to be from the top of the Sahpan Taskin Bridge you have a 360 degree view of the Bangkok city and you can look directly down the Chao Phraya River from boyh sides of the bridge amazing views for free.

This is one of the most popular viewing points on New Years Night could you imagine standing on that bridge on New Years Night you would be showered down by fireworks.
