In addition to ceremonial architectural buildings, such as the Elaginoostrovsky Palace Museum or the Musical Pavilion, there are many office buildings on a very simple architecture on Elagin Island. But I really like these houses. For example, depicted in the top photo house gardener Peter Buk. If you read the sign on the facade of the building, it becomes clear that external simplicity is not accidentally so attractive. The house is a monument of wooden architecture and designed by the famous architect Carl Rossi.
Nearby is another office building, made in a similar style, this is the caretaker's house.
Freylinsky case is made in a similar style, but has a more complex layout. It was also built by the architect K. Rossi and was intended for the park ranger, but was later re-planned for placement in this building of courtiers. Now there are musical evenings and costume balls.
I could not find out anything about the building in which the glass-blowing workshop is located. As well as about the gate with double-headed eagles, shown in the lower photos. This gate is not even marked on the map. This is part of the fence of the Private garden. The Private garden is adjacent to the Elaginostrovsky Palace and was intended for the Empress's walks.
