The Friday match between Zulte-Waregem and Club Brugge saw a nice line movement on all bets during the day and produced some big solid winners as the visitors had no problem with Zulte-Waregem and were up 0-3 at the break.
Eupen vs Standard
Eupen won their first match of the season in the relegation battle against Moeskroen. It was a poor match from both sides though and Eupen were pushed back after getting the lead. They have a new striker Essende but he is injured along with Diallo. Right now there is no real indication why the poor form of Eupen so far would turn around even though the win last week might be a spark. Standard are a team in building, they aim to play forward and I don't expect them to keep a lot of clean sheets. Carcela is their best player but so far he is far from the excellent form he had last season in the play-offs. The overall quality difference should be noticable in this match and picking Standard to win is the straightforward choice. I rarely take ~1.65 outrigt away odds or -1 away handicaps and will keep some discipline in this one also. Standard overall has not impressed me enough just yet. I will closely watch to hopefully get a better line Live or bet on Standard when they get behind as i do not see Eupen holding up like they did last week when this happens. Goals in Eupen are also always an option and I will be on the look out to bet Standard -0.25 1H depending on the match picture early on.
Sint-Truiden vs Oostende
Stvv have shown these past weeks that they have an ok team and it shows in their odds being a rather big favorite. I still have them as a team with a solid defense that should produce some unders. Oostende is the opposite of Zulte-Waregem right now. They played some poor matches at the start of the season but took points regardless which seems to be giving them a mental boost that might result in something of a winning streak early on in the season.. They do switch up periods where they actually play good with times when they are absolutely nowhere. This makes they a team good to oppose live with shorter timefram bets (HT) if they show poor form. I do not expect this to be a wide open match. Both are somewhat counter teams. This usually turns out in matches where teams are very aware and are not really willing to take risks. The odds on the under are set slightly too high in my view and I took some mostly on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.28 (also taken at Nitrogen) and a bit extra on Under 2.75 @ 2.06. Stvv last regular season had only 1 match with 2+ goals in the first half and this trend seems to continue this season. Under in Corners is also an option.
Lokeren vs Waasland
This is one of those matches I have absolutely no read on and could go all ways. Lokeren was enforced with a lot of defensive experience with olivier Deschacht who will likely play. They still have the same team that showed to have difficulties to score though. I do expect them to have at least a lot of intesity in this match and a real drive to win. Waasland seems to be somewhere above the real botton teams but below the sub-top teams and are nothing special. If anything they so far managed to beat the asian handicaps this season going 3.5W-1L-0.5P also having quite some goals in their matches. No pre-game bets on this match, but I will be looking out for this match to potentially turn out in a crazy scoreline even though it could also be really boring.
Charleroi vs Moeskroen
Charleroi unlike last season deserved a lot more compared to what they got so far. They now have the team that no longer has to play on the counter against weaker opponents but still need to adapt to it. While they played good in the first 4 matches, the 2nd half against Kortrijk last week was rather poor. I had this home match against Moeskroen marked in advance as a nice betting spot. The poor play along with the fact that Moeskroen fired their coach makes me more carefull though to take a -1 line on the home team. Moeskroen have been poor and have a really hard time to find the goal having scored only once during the first 5 matches. Nothing really tempts me in this match pre-game and I will wait to see if this match produces any good Live Betting Spots most likely on the favorite if they can dominate.
