"My deepest thanks to the US government, Senator McCain and Senator Lieberman for pushing Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, AmEx, Moneybookers, et al, into erecting an illegal banking blockade against @WikiLeaks starting in 2010. It caused us to invest in Bitcoin -- with > 50000% return."
These are good times for the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange who tweeted a very joyful news of his huge gains in an investment he was forced into by the US government.
He published the tweet alongside a screenshot of bitcoin price chart, with the chart spanning the period from July 2001 to October 14, 2017 from Coindesk.
This was the period when the price of Bitcoin was $0.06 and as since risen to an ATH of $5,800. Giving a total percentage increase of more than 9 million points.
