Saudi Arabia has been a very active member of the Yemeni war by siding against the Houthi Rebels who they accuse Iran of controlling. Their involvement so far has been brutal, marked by the killing of innocent kids and other civilians alike.
I always see the game of war as one of vested interests where countries involved merely battle to the advancement of their own agendas, and it appears Saudi is no different. Needless to say, they are not siding with the displaced government forces out of the goodness of their hearts.
Recently the Houthi controlled Government has called them out, accusing them of Siphoning Yemeni oil through the desert.
Yemen’s Oil and Mineral Ministry has denounced the looting of the country’s oil resources by Saudi Arabia, saying the move is a blatant violation of international law.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that Saudi Arabia transports Yemeni oil to the Arabian Sea through a pipeline which extends from the Rub' al Khali desert to Hadhramaut and al-Mahrah provinces south of the country.
Ironically, the same Saudi Arabia has been handing out generous sums to Yemen to defend its eroding currency. The last was a $200million Donation last week.
If the accusations are anything to go by, they could simply just be creating faux stability so the laundered crude is gotten at cheap prices. One thing is for sure, there is no innocent interest in this bloody war.
