I have not been to a beach in many years now after living right next to them for many years and in many places. Beach proximity used to be one of my requirements for where to settle, and poof! Now it is not.
Instead I now look for convenience in travel. I want to be near good public transport and airports. These are things not generally found near the beach. So in over three years in SE Asia and in 6 counties traveling, I have not ever seen a beach.
After STEEMfest this year, a group of STEEMers are going to one of the southern beach towns of Thailand to party it up and bond. I will not be joining them.
Instead I will try my best to get up to Chiang Mai Thailand for a week. This is a cheap, centrally located, easy to get to place where digital nomads congregate. The people behind the travelfeed.io dApp are organizing this trip in order to promote the Dapp and STEEM to the many travel bloggers who have bases there there.
I have never been to Chaing Mai and want to go see it. I think the traveling community is a good place to recruit for STEEM. Unlike random social media users, travel bloggers who make it overseas are realists who make good travel posts and the dApp is a great one with excellent support. I am very proud to have the chance to promote such a great project in an effective way.
Chiang Mai is nowhere near a beach, but it is a place STEEM can get foothold. I am very excited to see if I can help.
My post is for the #freewrite weekend single prompt challenge by @mariannewest with the prompt “salty air.” Freewrite is a great way to post on steemit when you do not think you have the time, or talent, or anything to say. It’s a great way to start regular posting on steem. I know you can do this too! Here is Marianne’s freewrite prompt post for today. Give it a try and surprise yourself
