Der Landschaftspark Nord. Einer der Orte in meiner alten Heimat, die ich immer wieder, mit Begeisterung besucht habe. Den ein oder anderen Fan von alten Industrieanlagen habe ich schon auf steemit gefunden. 1985 wurde der Betrieb des Stahlwerkes eingestellt. Ab 1994 wurde der Park für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. Mehr zur Geschichte selbst gibt es auf Wikipedia.
The Landschaftspark Nord (Landscape Park North). One of the places in my old homeland, which I have visited again and again, with enthusiasm. I have already found some fans of old industrial plants on steemit. In 1985 the steelworks was closed down. The park was opened to the public in 1994. Die Aufnahmen aus Google Earth zeigen die Größe des Parks. Gewaltiger ist nur Thyssen in Duisburg, ein Stahlwerk, das eine Kleinstadt sein könnte. Es lässt sich im Landschaftspark gut die Zeit vertreiben. Ob im Sommer oder Winter, jede Jahreszeit gibt dem Park einen neuen Style.
The pictures from Google Earth show the size of the park. The only thing more huge is Thyssen in Duisburg, a steel mill that could be a small town. The landscape park is a good place to pass the time. Whether in summer or winter, every season gives the park a new style.
Ich fange mit dem Außenbereich an. In einem der kleinen Flüsse hatte ich sogar eine Schildkröte gefunden. Vermutlich ausgesetzt. Leider konnte ich von dieser kein Bild machen. War schneller wieder abgetaucht, als ich ein Bild machen konnte. Es gibt den ein oder anderen kleinen See. Immerhin ist es schön grün im Sommer. Duisburg hat seine hässlichen Ecken. Der Landschaftspark ist sicherlich keine davon.
I'll start with the exterior. I had even found a turtle in one of the small rivers. Probably abandoned. Unfortunately I could not take a picture of this one. Dive back down faster than I could take a picture. There's a little lake or two. After all, it's nice and green in summer. Duisburg has its ugly corners. The landscape park is certainly not one of them.
Der stillgelegte Hochofen ist fast immer zu sehen. Ich, als Fan von Industrieanlagen fühle mich richtig wohl dort. In Deutschland habe ich in einem Kohlekraftwerk gearbeitet, in einem Wartungsteam. Teilweise die absolute Drecksarbeit aber höchst interessant.
Thyssen konnte ich ebenfalls ein paar mal von innen Sehen. Die haben ein eigenes Straßen System, mit allem drum und dran. Sicherheitsleute führen dort sogar Geschwindigkeitskontrollen durch!
The disused blast furnace can almost always be seen. I, as a fan of industrial plants, feel really comfortable there. In Germany I worked in a coal-fired power station, in a maintenance team. Partly the absolute dirty work but most interesting.
Thyssen I could also see from the inside a few times. They have their own road system and the security is even doing speed checks there!
Das Tolle am Landschaftspark ist, dass die Anlage scheinbar nur insoweit instand gehalten wird, dass es nicht gefährlich wird für Besucher. Damit bleibt alles sehr nahe am original Zustand. Freilichtkino, Tauchschule in einem der alten Gastanks und einen Kletterpark gibt es ebenfalls. Zum Thema Nacht und Beleuchtung gibt es noch einen extra Post.
The great thing about the landscape park is that the plant is only so far maintained that it does not become dangerous for visitors. This keeps everything very close to the original condition. Open-air cinema, diving school in one of the old gas tanks and a climbing park are also available.
Also, reinhauen und vorbeischauen. Zeit mitbringen oder mehrmals auf Entdeckungstour gehen. Eventuell am späten Nachmittag zum Park aufbrechen. Damit einmal alles bei Sonnenlicht betrachtet werden kann und dann bis zur Nacht die Zeit überbrücken, um dann alles im Glanz der bunten Scheinwerfer zu sehen.
Bring some time with you or go on several discovery tours. Go to the park in the late afternoon, so that everything can be viewed in sunlight and then bridge the time until night, in order to then see everything in the glow of the colorful headlights.
