Durian Feast in Singapore

Thanks to Malaysia's hot weather, the oversupply of durian makes us have cheaper durians with good quality.

"The harvest for durians this season is good, the weather has a good mix of rain and sun, which will cause the durians to ripen and drop faster," said a vendor of 20 years.

Durian prices vary from time to time. While during this harvest season, durian vendors slash the prices due to the surplus.

Durians with good quality

Ah Seng Durian is probably the most well-known durian stall in the west of Singapore. Their durians undergo a strict check before placing in the stall for sale. They always ensure every customer's visit to be satisfying.

We, a group of friends, went there on one Thursday night. Mao Shan Wang is the most popular species all along. The normal price is $20 to $25 per kilogram, whereas now it dropped to $15/kg.

As usual, there is always a long queue there. It was 6pm and we queued for about 40 minutes.

The seller helped us open to pick MSW with good quality.

Finally, our 14 kg MSW were ready.

Our cravings had been satisfied indeed.

We bought a packet of mangosteens as well. They were refreshingly sourish-sweet and fresh. One packet cost $10.
