Here is today's vlog! Murder Dog and I spent the night in a campground in Minnesota since we had to wait for that new windshield appointment in the afternoon. We finally got the Element back in the mid afternoon which meant we needed to start driving ASAP to try and make up some of our lost time. We decided to aim for the UP (Upper Peninsula) in Michigan, as we wanted to eventually meet up with our friend, Lou Feen, for a night of camping.
Along the way, we made plans to stop at another friend's house, who was directly on the way, to crash for the night. Communication on the way up was difficult, as cell service was virtually non existent through much of the drive through Wisconsin. When we got closer, we learned that our friend's place wasn't going to be available and that it was forecasted to pour throughout the night. Due to these circumstances, our friend insisted on putting us up in a motel for the night and taking me out for food once we arrived. An actual bed, a delicious meal, and the kindness of good people. This is yet another highlight of this van nomad experience!
