Garden update - Northern Lights females Kaila and Beauty

My Steem OG plant "Ace" graduated to medication heaven 2 days ago, the male "No Beef" died without producing pollen, and the 2 Northern Lights spinsters "Kaila" and "Beauty" are finishing up their flowers in my little garden!

Kaila

Kaila has 4 angled shafts sprouting from a central point. She never grew too quickly, is sturdy and balanced, and has a healthy medium green colour despite her age. This is Kaila's 10th week of flowering, and it looks like she's not quite done yet!

There are pretty flowers along the top half of her 4 stems. The buds aren't fully filled in, but it looks like they're still growing, so I'll give her time. Now that Ace is out of the garden, there's more light to go around. (I'm working on a light upgrade very soon.)

There is absolutely no smell coming from these flowers. It's actually quite surprising. You'd expect dankness, or at least some terps, but there's nothing.

Beauty

Or as I've been calling her lately, "The Beast":

I don't know why one stem decided to be twice as tall. The plant has been leaning against the edge of the garden, or other plants, for weeks now. Not that the buds are heavy, it just lost interest in being symmetrical or pretty.

Instead of 4 obvious tops, like the other plants, this one just has popcorn-sized nugs all over the place.

The smell, though!

It's got a strong scent of strawberry or grape bubblegum! Sweet, fruity, almost like candy, with just a hint of diesel dankness. When my hand brushed a bud during repositioning for photos, I got a whiff of the THC along with those terps. Yum. There's not going to be a lot of medicine here, but it's going to be really really nice.

That berry smell is just wild. I've been noticing it for weeks now. With Ace (the Steem OG) out of the garden, Beauty has taken over with her scent. Maybe that's why she's called Beauty, not for her looks, but for that incredible smell!

As these 2 plants finish up in the next couple weeks, I'll be sprouting my next crop (strain to be announced soon).

Also stay tuned for my Steem OG drying and curing process. I'll document the process in detail here!
