President Xi Wrote A Book On China. It Was A Very Interesting Propaganda Book.

It is so difficult to get an honest perspective on what life is really like in the Chinese surveillance state. I saw this book at my local Toronto book store the other day. I’m quite well versed on the politics of modern China. The book is a collection of speeches and writings by Mr. Xi on many different subjects.

It seems like a typical propaganda book with various photos of him visiting dignitaries and doing regular everyday activities. Clearly he has done great work for China, as their annual growth over the past decade is unparalleled.

The publisher of the book was written in Chinese characters so it seems to be an official government document.

It was noteworthy that there were no reviews or quotes on the back of the book. I’m sure that nobody would be brave enough( or foolish enough) to write a bad review in China.

The book seems to mention only positive things about Xi as expected, and it would be fascinating to see a book that may want to rebuke some of the points. (I’m sure that perspective book will never be published in China lol.)
