Good Morning Tuesday.......
Father Thank You for this NEW Day. Please grant us TRUTH, WISDOM, DISCERNMENT, UNDERSTANDING, and KNOWLEDGE. Father we ask this so that we will not be conformed to this world, but TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our MINDS. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST'S Name. Amen.

  • For The Love Of Money, Fame, Status, and Gain

“For you put up with fools gladly, since you yourselves are wise! For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face. To our shame I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold—I speak foolishly—I am bold also.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭11:19-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As we take a look a 2 Corinthians it is apparent that the people there were impressed with large personalities, large talk, large status, and riches of this world. It seems that they had developed an affinity to follow those with large egos who were false prophets, apostles, and teachers. Many of those false apostles were apparently winning people over with outward success and charisma. The Corinthians misunderstood Paul's sacrificial service and life for weakness and didn't seem too impressed with him.

It seems there is an epidemic today of super-charismatic-rich-educated-boasting-fake apostles, and it only seems, in some parts of our culture, to be getting worse.

I couldn't help but to cringe at what I recently witnessed. A well-known so called minister and "servant of God" was going on and on boasting about his 54 million dollar private jet he had acquired. With a blasphemous mouth he spoke of how if Our Savior Yeshua, Jesus Christ were here today, quote " He wouldn't be riding a donkey, He would be riding in a 54 million dollar jet." What?! Really?! It was apparent this man was not preaching the same Gospel that Paul was and it showed with every venomous word spoken from his mouth. He went on to justify charging this 54 million dollar plane as a ministry expense. After this, he bragged about how it was his fifth one! I wonder what Paul would have had to say about this? I don't think it would be pretty.

We have an epidemic today of super-apostles, and in some circles it seems to be getting worse.

If we will notice in The Scripture of 2 Corinthians, when it came time for Paul to boast about God's Message and the apostleship Our Father and Yeshua, Jesus gave him, he listed his sufferings for The Gospel. When Paul did have to qualify himself and show that his education, knowledge, and discernment was greater, each time, he wrote "I speak foolishly." How it must have pained him to have to compare, boast, and prove himself to these Corinthians who had been led astray. As we read we can see... it was quite an overwhelming list when it came time for Paul to list his sufferings for The Gospel. This was in stark contrast to the puffed-up false apostles who boasted in their strength, abilities, education, personalities, and there other worldly wealthiness. Unfortunately, it seems the Corinthians wanted to be like those worldly, fake apostles receiving the "praise of men (John 12:43)."

Is it possible that we think too highly of ourselves? How often do we step back and assess this honestly? I fear that for many of us... it doesn't even cross our minds. The reality is this... We must humble ourselves before Our Father. If we do this now, Our Father and Yeshua, Jesus Christ will exalt us later. When God exalts us, it will be a time when we understand The Gospel fully, when we have discernment fully, when we have gained wisdom, knowledge, and grasped Truth in a way that is beneficial to all who hear it and doesn't lead our Brothers and Sisters astray.

May we all take a moment today to step back, humble ourselves, and assess our situations with Truth, Honesty, and Humility just as Our King and Savior showed us, Paul and The Apostles exemplified, and we who follow Christ persevere towards. May we all reach a point where we humble ourselves before God and say: "Dear Father, I'm here to serve, not to be served, to give, not to get. Help me Father and Jesus to follow in Your Footsteps."

Prayer:

Dear Father God, Powerful and Mighty, we come to you today and ask for your help with our discernment, with our "eyes to see" The Truth of matters, and with our pride. We know Father that sometimes we don't even recognize our pride. Help us to see our pride and humble ourselves as Your Son did and as Your Servant Paul did. We know sometimes we get excited about worldly things going on around us... Help us to identify these things and beware of them. Keep us In You, humble, and let the message we speak to others be Your Message and not ours. Help us to identify those whom we should not follow in their teachings, as the Corinthians Paul wrote in Your Word did. We know we are no better than them, but we do know we can be more wise and discerning than them... because You Have Shown Us. We Love You. We Thank You. And We Praise You all the days of our lives. We humbly ask these things in Your Son, Our Savior and King's Mighty Name, Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Amen.
