Hi Everyone,
It’s Chinese New Year tomorrow and I’ve finally prepared all the red pockets for the kids and family. I bought a large variety of them when we were in Japan during our last visit so I would like to share some of the designs I’m intending to use this year. I will use different designs for the kids (boys and girls designs). As for the adults like my parents and in laws, I will probably choose a more traditional type of red pocket rather than the bright cute colourful ones.
So what do we put inside these red pockets? Of course money! Some people may put in vouchers, chocolates, gold etc but traditionally its money. The kids usually are the happiest ones during this time as they normally receive the most red pockets. The older you are, probably you receive less as its usually the elders would give these red pockets to those younger than them. Will you be giving any red pockets this year?
