New Zealand has a rock band whose lead singer Jon Toogood formed in the late 80's called Shihad, these guys kick some serious arse especially live!
Jonny boy Toogood would easily make my top 5 kiwi vocalists/singers, i know this type of rock may not be everyone's cup of tea but i recommend the following before you listen!
Take 2 drinks or cones/pills you choose..just take handfuls of whatever..wait 5 mins then click on this youtube link (for copyright police) and PLAY THIS LIVE performance in Christchurch of Run...
This one also need to be played LOUD, maybe you need a top..ok consume whatever...now play this live version of Wait & See
See i told you they rock!
So how did 9/11 change NZ music History?
By September 11 2001 Shihad already had won most major NZ music awards worth winning and were proving to be popular overseas.
The problem was the Bush led False flag which by the way he should have got an Academy award for, had poisoned people into thinking every middle eastern looking person was on a Jihad against the mighty USA.
Shihad and Jihad are very similar words so Shihad decided in 2002 to firstly change their band name to Remote before realizing that band name was already taken. Then they decided to use the name of a single off the General electric album called Pacifier. In 2004 they thankfully changed the band name back to Shihad :)
I better mention that the band started in Wellington which makes them even more awesome
go and listen the the album called The General Electric - its gold
