I started painting the other day on a 24 x 36 inches canvas. I make my contour lines using acrylic paint since it's easier for me. I don't like making contours using a pencil because it will smudge once you start painting on it unless you spray a fixative on it. Since acrylic cannot be erased, I had some struggles with contouring which doesn't happen a lot btw.
I use different colors when I try to adjust them so I'll know the changes I made and stuff.
Obviously it's a disaster XD. I was changing it 5 times already and it looks so weird now.
I managed to get the right composition and measurements and it turned out like this. I only wanted to contour the human shape just so I could estimate where to put the main subject.
I hate the waiting part of doing oils. But since I really need to wait for it to dry, I turned to my 8 x 8-inch canvas.
The first layer. Gonna wait for it to dry too so I could add some whatever colorful shit I want to add.
Lastly, I had to throw some brushes cos I'm stupid and forgot to clean them, so they are all dried up XD. Thankfully they are all cheap brushes so not much of a heartache. This is why I can't trust myself with expensive brushes. But hey, will try to invest now with some quality brushes just so I could discipline myself with cleaning though these cheap brushes were never a problem.
