RE: Name YOUR decentralized social network?

For me, the term mesh captures the meshing of all the open source data (and people, thus socially interwoven) interacting on trustless, permissionless ledger. So meshing speaks to the derivative features the dLedger creates as well as to topology. Ledger is focused and descriptive only of the core function. A dLedger enables a dMesh.

dMesh could also be construed to be the name of the technology that makes the ledger unique.

Yes, in the light of that clarification, selecting dMesh over dLedger does seem to make sense.

The dmesh.com domain is not in use.

Which is certainly useful.

But recently in my discussion with you, we decided to name the ledger a technical name and use different mainstream names for the dApps.

So the name dMesh itself would not need to be "catchy" as such but still be memorable and accurately discriptive - "serious" enough - for technical / professional users; in contrast to the mainstream social media dApp names, such as the previously floated Oodles, Bleep, Keeper, Uncommons etc? Value being created by both groups, in turn implicitly and explicitly. The robustness of the decentralised technology being proliferated by the appeal of the individual dApps, though many of the users likely being initially unaware and/or uncaring of its underlying qualities.
