
The CEO of one of the most recognizable cryptocurrency exchange in the world took to twitter to quell concerns that the company has barred users from the United States and 28 other countries from accessing tits decentralized exchange (DEX).
Changpeng Zhao, CEO at Binance explains that the geoblocked territories only applies to a single website in www.binance.org and does not affect its other website as well as clarifying that Binance DEX itself is not blocking users based on their locations.
He adds that it is up to operators of different website such as www.binance.org if they decide to geoblock some territories for compliance policies which revealed apparently that Binance DEX is being operated by one of the affiliates of Binance.
Trades who wants to trade on markets available in Binance DEX may do so through another platform such as the Trustwallet or perhaps another portal that will no geoblock users in any of the above mentioned users.
Binance DEX is not release to solve all problems related to cryptocurrency trading, there might be some inherent advantages of DEX such as the fact that you never lose custody of your own digital assets, there are some disadvantages as well in terms of efficiency and even security.
